Yup, that's right. I took this picture at 8:30 at night, and he'd been asleep for 2 hours. What can I say? We've been a little busy... Read on for the juicy details!
Those logs that I've been talking about? GONE! Well, most of them. We can take care of the few that are left, and the yard looks so much better! Not to mention the fact that I can get to the house without skirting a log minefield!
Jackson, like any good 'Burger (Phippsburger), is very into the Big Truck action.
He was very intent- didn't even notice he was missing dinner!
Yeah- it was pretty cool!
Aaannnnd a flower picture to break up the Big Truck action ;)
Anut Holly came to watch
He grabbed this sheet and
played with it all over the floor...
Awww snuggles!
Time for a small snack in a contained area!
Camping! What, Laura? you say, are you insane?! Well, yes, but Jackson was great. We left for a two and a half hour drive at about 5:45, after I got out of work- he was awake and pretty much happy the whole ride up. He'd never been up in the car this late, so we were thrilled. When we got there he was pretty tired though!
Check out the last two pictures for the sleepy time pics- once again I am bad with "what goes where" *sigh*
Here he is with his softball...
And playing the piano...
and trying to pull himself up on the coffee table... notice that the fan is blocked off- he's crawling around like crazy and into EVERYTHING!
This is what our driveway looks like. I don't know if you all have been aware of the weather in Maine, but we had a giantly hugely evil storm last night. Right when I was getting out of work. It rained so hard that I could not see anything- very scary, and lots of roads got washed away, including our driveway, and Meadowbrook road- look up the driveway, to the left- it washed out right after I got home, and honestly?! I have no idea how I made it into the driveway... There was a waterfall the width of the drive and about 5' into the neighbor's yard to the right. Very, very intense, and the "goings on" are definitely the talk of the town.
Looking down the driveway...
This is my car. I obviously haven't gotten it out of storage this summer... It's sitting in my horse barn, which flooded (not too badly), so the doors are open for drying out purposes. Made me a little sad looking at Putt, but she's a convertable and I don't think a baby should be in one of those quite yet!
The bridge leading to my Dad's- we could get out the driveway very carefully, but he's stuck!
Aaannnnd back to the center of our world- these are today as well- he's pulling himself up really well!
This again- couldn't resist... luckily the flash didn't wake him up!
He went from this...
to this pretty fast! It was HOT, and when he fell asleep, he was out! We came home mid-afternoon on Saturday- he slept from 5:15 (usually goes down around 6:30) until 8:15 Sunday morning (usually gets up between 6:30 and 7:30)!!!!
He was SO cute the first morning we camped- I was right next to him, so of course every time he twitched, I was wide awake... When he woke up, I watched him sit up, look around like "where am I? what happened to my crib?!" and then notice us... then it was YAY! MOM AND DAD ARE IN HERE LETS PLAY!!!
He weighs 21 pounds, 3 oz, and is 27.75" tall. He's average everything, the cutest baby ever (in my most humble opinion), and very healthy and happy! Derek and I are doing well, still busy, and trying to all keep cool in the hottest summer I can remember in Maine. Hope all are well... Once again, it's 9:00 and I'm ready for a glass of wine and my pillow!
Wow! Big timber, big rain, big washout, big heat, big Hat Man Two. Maine will give Texas a run for big soon. And you have two big US senators who did well by keeping people from going hungry. But no hat pictures. I think he will be walking very soon. He seems to be getting going without his wheels.… He really was interested in the truck/tree situation. What would you give to know what was in is mind? Great blog entry. He will have less trouble with his data than reading piles of old letters. But reading letters written long ago is a real treat.
ReplyDeleteHe's such a cutie, happy 9 months Jackson ~ he's going to be a whole year old before you know it!
