Today I realized that I haven't taken very many pictures lately, so I got the camera out and did a mini photo shoot.
Jackson striking a pose...
He likes to sit on my lap and have me take pictures of both of us. Today was the first day he pointed to himself and said "Jackson!"
Headed outside to check out the new addition to the family.
And THIS, my dear friends and family, is Winnegance Bay.
Spinning his wheels...
But Mama! I'm just on the edge!
My lilies.
So, a couple of weeks ago my friend Ellie was telling me about a horse her aunt was trying to get rid of. Because I don't want a horse at this point, I said no (you may have noticed the horse pictures above), and told her that she was a bad influence on me. Then I jokingly told Derek about this free horse that I'd been offered... And he said, "Huh... I wouldn't mind having a horse around again". I was shocked. So then I talked to my Dad, who basically said the same thing... So I went to ride her, fell in love with her, bought a lot of hay, grain, and shavings, re-fenced my pasture, cleaned out my barn, and brought my new horse home! Her registered name is Migas Moonshadow, but I just can't come up with a name I like out of that, so I'm changing it to Winnegance Bay- she's Bay in color, and we live on Winnegance Bay... And she's a sweetheart. So that's that. I now own my 4th registered Morgan!
What a horse. Is he really a Morgan? My neirghbors race morgans as trotters. They moved out to the country before I could get to see their races. Now I will never remember the horse's name so I will name him what my grandpa woul d have named : "blaze". So when I talk about Blaze you know I will be talking about Winnie the Bay. Great life you are living and I hope summer lasts all year.
