Seven Months

This first group of pictures is all from today. Don't look too closely, as he has a apple juice/drool stain covering most of his shirt. He was in a good mood though, so I decided to take pictures! At some point, I'll remember that the pictures post from newest to oldest, so the progression is wrong. Oh well.

The cat came running over to check us out, then went right up to Jackson for some love- pre tty cool!

Standing up!

I had to stick the sign up there- you'll see why shortly...

Mmmm... paper tastes delish!

This is from a couple days ago. I went to change him, and Trango wasn't the least interested in giving up his bed. I flipped the blanket (keeping the changing pad cover clean-ish) up and thought this would be a cute picture!

This is Jackson's first trip to the beach. Derek had a job to check out at Popham, so he swung in and grabbed us! It was a great surprise, and we decided that being self employed definitely has it's advantages!

Can you get much cuter?! I don't think so, but I'm a little prejudiced!

He loved it!

Here's one of me! That's Seguin Island in the background. We're so lucky to have this beautiful beach basically in our backyard!

Unlike Alex, Jackson loves getting his hands dirty. And sticking them in his mouth.

Helping Daddy with some paperwork.

He LOVES the radio, and will crank over there if he's in his wheelie seat (walker) and look at me impatiently until I turn it on!

Like so much dirty laundry...

Sleepy Mom and munchkin!

Look at that concentration! He was very into the fishing pole... I think Daddy's goint to have company on his Striper fishing trips (no, I didn't say stripper... Striped Bass are a spring fishing staple here!).

Graham crackers, much? Note the bib.

Jackson is seven months old. He is rolling over like crazy, sitting up incredibly well, and getting ready to crawl. He is alert, intense, and the best thing that has ever happened to me. Every morning I get to wake up to him singing and laughing in his crib- it's so much better than an alarm clock! He sleeps pretty much all night, but occasionally does need me to get up for just a minute to put his binky (pacifier) back in his mouth if he can't reach it or find it, and sleeps a solid 12 hours. We haven't been having to do a bottle at night for about a month! He loves to chase Maya, Trango, the diaper bag, us, and whatever else he can push around with his walker.
Tonight for the first time in a long time (seven months!), we will be childless. I have been convinced that it is a good thing to let my monkey muffin munchkin baby bean skralin stay at his Grammy Cindy's house. If you can't tell, I'm really not excited about this! But, I'm sure it will be fine. I'm going to miss him SO much though!

  1. The 22nd is payday each month. The pictures are great and the story line fun. Boys and Girls are different for sure. Dorian will soon have a dirt loving boy and he will have an older sister who will try to keep him clean. He and Tango would feel right at home here. Raton invites all the cats in the neighborhood to board here. Love the fishing pole shots. What is that water temperature? Probably as warm as it is here. He may not want to crawl with his mobility with his wheeled vehicle

  2. Great pictures! What a patient, mellow kitty you have. Our dog "tolerates" Alex at best. I think I'm going to laminate the monthly signs for the next one, haha... I'm glad Alex eating her signs seems to be pretty normal... or maybe it's a family trait.
