Summer is what? Over?

Have you ever seen anything this pitiful? Me either. See below for a bit more info on the blotchy, hive-ridden child we all call Willis. Or Muffin. Or Pork Chop. Or Wheel Dog. And occasionally Jackson.

Pretty place, Maine, hmm?

He has a tongue thing going on. LOVES to stick it out.

Socks, Mumma.

I got the "before" pictures of the haircut, but apparently forgot to follow up with the "after" pictures. Well, I can tell you what happened- his hair got shorter.

Derek's latest job site- right up the road, so we walked up yesterday...

He's headed H.O.M.E.!!

Ok, so Jackson broke out in massive hives all over his body about a month ago. We've been trying to figure out what's going on- thought it was amoxicillin, but I personally don't think that's right at this point... The doctors have seen him four times, we're going in on Thursday for yet another appointment. We have an appt with an allergist in November. Yeah. November. Not like he's a little kid who doesn't deserve this or anything... (Yes, I'm getting mad- this is my BABY and I want him to be better NOW.) But I know they're trying, so I (in return) am trying to be patient. It nearly killed me to have to hold him down while they stole his blood though.

Umm... What else. Bay (the horse) is doing well, adapting to Phippsburg with the greatest of ease... She eats like a horse (weird, right?!) and loves to be outside now that it's cooling down a bit and the bugs are going away.

I actually started a fire in the woodstove this afternoon... chilly and damp, and why not! We spent the weekend splitting and stacking wood... Winter in Maine is coming!!

Hope this finds you all well, warm, healthy and happy.
