A Perfect Sunday

Jackson stayed at his Perkins grandparents on Saturday night. Derek and I took advantage and went out to dinner- great Mexican/Irish restaurant (weird combo, I know, but it works!). We also rented a couple of movies, but were still in bed by ten!! Sunday we headed over to Derek's parents and hung out with them and Jackson for a bit, then we borrowed their kayaks and spent several hours kayaking out through Spirit Pond, down Morse's River, and almost out to Popham Beach. It was the first time I'd spent any time in a kayak, so I'm pretty sore, but WOW was it fun!! We went back to his parents' house, swam in their pool for a while... Jackson got up from his nap and went swimming with me- he loves it so much! All in all it was a good day- a perfect day, actually!

I have a new computer and uploading things is much easier. I'm beat though, so you can make up your own subtitles for these!! Life is speeding past, Jackson is more and more capable every day. I'm back at Rock Gardens and loving it, Mom gets Jackson a couple days a week and REALLY loves it, we pretty much skipped all of the Fourth of July in favor of Derek's parents' pool (we're slackers, what can I say, but J-man and I both had colds, so that was an excuse!), Derek's busy with work... My best friend had a beautiful baby boy two weeks ago... Yup, things are good!
